Social  Integration

A key focus area for Ansaar is to help new families settle into life in our city. Our goal is not assimilation, but integration. While honoring their traditions, culture, and respecting their identity, we assist them in adjusting to what is often a totally new life. This is accomplished by providing moral support, opening up peer networks, and sponsoring social events which are culturally sensitive and appropriate. For instance, our Adopt-A-Family program enables those who are interested to form deep personal bonds of friendship with a new family.
